Cabdone: from a request for a logo to a complete cab brand
A new cab service came to us for a logo. We started one step earlier, with the name, and built the whole brand from there: name, logo, identity, website, fleet branding and an online presence ready for launch.

The challenge
The client was starting a cab service and asked us to design a logo. When we talked through his plans, a bigger problem came up: the business didn't yet have a name that was easy to remember, available online and safe to register.
A logo built on the wrong name would have had to be redone later, along with everything printed and painted around it. So before designing anything, we suggested getting the name right first.
What we did
- Find the right name
We shortlisted five names that matched the client's preferences, and checked each one for trademark conflicts and for .com, .in, Facebook and Instagram availability. Together we chose Cabdone: short, easy to say, and available everywhere it needed to be.
- Design the logo
We designed the logo around the new name, with simple symbols that explain the service at a glance, and tested it on cars, cards and phone screens before finalising.
- Build the brand identity
Two gradients, exact print and screen colour codes, black and white versions for single-colour use, and a type style, all documented so every future design stays consistent.
- Launch it everywhere
We then rolled the brand out across a website with ride booking, business cards, vehicle branding for sedans, MUVs and a tempo traveller, Instagram and Facebook pages, a Google Business location, and a logo animation for videos and reels.
The idea behind the logo
We built the mark from the name itself. The “b” carries an arrow for the journey and the “o” becomes a location pin for the pickup, so the logo says “cab, booked, on its way” without extra icons. Taxi yellow-gold leads into a trustworthy blue.
